Cindy Michel RA

VICE PRESIDENT

Ms. Michel is an architect committed to building enduring architecture, towns, and cities. Her design philosophy advocates research and scholarship, practice and public dialogue, along with education as essentials of contemporary architectural practice. She has 14 years of experience in architecture, urban design, and participatory planning. She has worked for Urban Design Associates and as a planning advisor in Haiti through Development Innovations Group. Currently, she is a project architect at Ferguson & Shamamian Architects.

Ms. Michel holds a Bachelor of Architecture (2004) and a Master of Architectural Design and Urbanism (2010) from the University of Notre Dame. She was awarded a CNU Charter Award of Excellence (2011) for her master’s urban design thesis project, From Settlement to City: A Masterplan for Cap-Haitien, Haiti. Her thesis focused on analyzing and designing a series of public squares in the newest developed areas of Cap-Haitien.
